Instructions
1. Preheat & Prep Filling
Preheat oven to 200°C / fan 180°C / gas mark 6.
In a large bowl, combine:
- Finely chopped onion
- Lean pork mince
- Skinned Slimming World sausages
- Finely diced apple
- Chopped sage
- Most of the beaten egg (save a little for sealing)
Season lightly and mix well until fully combined.
2. Form & Wrap the Sausage Mix
Divide the sausage mixture into 2 equal parts and roll each into long sausage shapes—roughly the length of your filo sheets.
- Lay 1 filo pastry sheet on a clean surface.
- Lightly spray with low-calorie cooking spray.
- Place the second filo sheet directly on top.
- Cut the stacked sheets in half lengthways to form 2 long strips.
Place one sausage down the long edge of each strip.
Brush the opposite edge with remaining beaten egg.
Roll tightly from the egg-free side toward the egg-brushed edge, sealing it firmly.
3. Slice & Bake
Cut each long roll into 12 equal pieces (24 rolls total).
- Place on a non-stick baking tray sprayed with low-calorie spray, spaced ~5cm apart.
- Spray tops of the rolls lightly with more cooking spray.
Bake in the oven for 25–30 minutes, or until golden, crisp, and cooked through.

- Keep filo sheets covered with a damp towel while working to prevent drying out.
- Don’t overstuff less filling = neater rolls and crispier pastry.
- Add a touch of chili flakes or mustard to the filling for extra zing.
